Skrill and NETELLER both reward frequent users with a VIP programme. Your level depends on how much you pay to online merchants (and trade in crypto) in each calendar quarter — the higher the level, the lower your fees. Here is how the two programmes compare.

VIP thresholds per quarter

LevelSkrillNETELLER
SilverEUR 15,000USD 15,000
GoldEUR 45,000USD 45,000
DiamondEUR 90,000USD 150,000
Exclusive—USD 600,000

Only payments to merchants and cryptocurrency trades count. Transfers to other users, card spending, deposits and withdrawals do not.

How your level is reviewed

  • VIP status starts automatically the day after you reach a threshold — there is nothing to apply for.
  • Levels are reviewed at the end of each calendar quarter. Reaching a threshold keeps the level for the rest of that quarter and the next one.
  • If you reach a higher threshold during the quarter, you are upgraded straight away.
  • If you fall below the minimum, you move down at the next quarterly review.

NETELLER VIPs also send money to other NETELLER users for free in most countries (a 1.45% fee still applies to members in certain countries) and pay no deposit fee on single deposits of USD 20,000 or more. UK residents: since January 2024 crypto trades no longer count towards NETELLER VIP volume and the VIP crypto discount does not apply.

Which programme is easier to climb?

Silver and Gold need the same amounts in both programmes — but Skrill counts in euros and NETELLER in US dollars, so NETELLER’s thresholds are slightly lower in euro terms. Skrill’s top level, Diamond, starts at EUR 90,000 per quarter; NETELLER’s Diamond needs USD 150,000 and Exclusive USD 600,000. In return, NETELLER Exclusive has the lowest currency conversion fee of all levels (1.29%).

What happened to Fast Lane and Bronze?

The Fast Lane campaigns of 2023 and 2024 offered lower VIP thresholds for a limited time. No such campaign is running at the moment, and the old Bronze level no longer exists in either programme. We will update this page when a new promotion starts.
